Okay, first…you don’t need to lose 10 lbs! For pete’s sake, stop obsessing!
Second, I love you vlogs! Keeps me in stitches, or gets me thinking. Either way, love them. Hope your tour is going well! One of these days I’m going to grab my partner (dosie-doh!) and get up to Ptown to see you on stage again. Thanks!
I wish I could send your 2.44 ” message to everyone I know!
You speak so eloquently and with a humor that puts the message right to the heart and mind of the matter.
I am not a politician, a performer, etc. but a teacher who cares so deeply about getting the message across to families and friends about how serious this “gun” thing is…working on it…..working on it…….
I found your message (stored as a “save” unitl this am.) uplifting and right to the point!
Right to bear arms…Yes. Right to go on shooting rampages…No. I am not sure what more it is going to take to tighten the restrictions on obtaining firearms in U.S. ( and I know people can still find ways to get them if they really are motivated ) but let’s start with longer waiting periods, how about a comprehensive psych. eval before you can buy one. May seem time consuming for retailers and state officials…but this kind of pro-active pre-gun sale activity may actually keep guns out of the hands of those who clearly should not even have a water pistol near them.
p.s……. 10 lbs Kate. Please ! The last time I saw you I wanted you take you to nauna’s house for some pasta and cannolis…remember, what I told you in August…”chunky women are harder to kidnap.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from opponents of same-sex marriage who want to overturn the District of Columbia’s gay marriage law.
The court did not comment Tuesday in turning away a challenge from a Maryland pastor and others who are trying to get a measure on the ballot to allow Washingtonians to vote on a measure that defines marriage as between a man and a woman.
Bishop Harry Jackson led a lawsuit against the district’s Board of Elections and Ethics after it refused to put that initiative on the ballot. The board ruled that the ballot question would in effect authorize discrimination.
Last year, Washington began issuing marriage licenses for same-sex couples and in 2009, it began recognizing gay marriages performed elsewhere.
Kate –
The problem was you were focused on New England and football. Now that they are out, you can get your mind back on what’s important – laughing!
Violence sucks, but kvetching over the people who aren’t listening, and won’t change, will make you gain weight. Guns are a multi billion dollar business, you must hope that they all go to a shooting range and practice on each other because that will happen before they stop making $ on munitions.
Sad story – I went to college on munitions. Yes, my father collected scrap metals and waited until the price went up, then, got me out in the garage and we melted everything into ingots. This was 1972 so you guessed it! Lead, copper, etc. that went to Viet Nam while I went to LeMoyne in Syracuse. I’m sure the Berrigans would not be happy, but I didn’t realize until after the fact that recycling can be dangerous!
Why do they call the ammunition a magazine? Thought that was something you read. Love you KC…you’re the best. Everyone including the republicans want Sarah Palin to shut up. I don’t. Keep talking SP every time you speak you shoot yourself in the foot..oops..sorry about that..
