I have been trying to understand why so many queer folk have been so stoked at the idea of marriage. I’m not sure if my disinterest reflects the fact that it hasn’t been a real possibility for most of my 53 years or my less-traditional views of relationships, monogamy et at.
So it seemed strange; until you explained (I have learned so much from you over the years) that it’s just another gentrification project we are taking on!
