I’d have a sign that said, “Just remember. If you look at each other tonight and ask yourselves, “Does it have to look like that? You may not be straight.”

I go and participate normally, but I wear a marriage equality white knot. It’s a subtle gesture, and a great way to start some conversations when people ask what it means.

I’m going with my wife to the wedding of a lovely straight couple in their 80s who think we’re fabulous! I think both couples (us & them) are a lovely counterpoint to same-old-thing weddings 🙂

We will bring two of the largest purses available to mankind and tons of zip lock bags. If anyone asks as we are hijacking the buffet we will response, “Straight says what?”

I’m quoting John Pinette to help those of us who can’t say “no” when invited to a same-old-sex wedding. Just say “nay, nay”. The last wedding we attended there was confusion on whether we should be seated at the family’s or friends table. They moved us so much I spilled wine on my pants and started to cry. So now I say “nay, nay”!
