I’m debating over whether to have a party. I live in Fresno, sort of the Bible Belt/Anus of California. We’ll definitely be at home, with two under two we don’t get invited many places. We are defnitely planning to roast weenies, but as soon as I add “bring your own barf bowl and kleenex” to the invites even I don’t want to attend.

I will be watching at home…and probably biting my nails!
In my heart I know that Obama will win but that wascally wabbit McCain probably has a few tricks up his sleeve!

I will be eating veggie-moose burgers and grateful I have lived long enough to see someone other than the usual white man voted in as president of the United States. A man, who thanks to all the work of George Bush in destroying the constitution, will be the most powerful dictator in the world. At least that is my take, exucutive signing statements et al. Hopefully, Obama will use this power to free the hostages in Guantanomo, do away with Blackwater, put solar panels on all homes and wind turbines and make the USA the premier supplier of alternative energy in the USA. Make it so that if corporations are people than they can serve time like people. I also hope one of his first orders is the arrest and prosecution of George W. Bush for high crimes and treason against the constitution of the United States. I also hope he encourages everyone in the United States to begin organic gardening so we can feed the world with our produce.

I’ll be home…alone (partner works nights), and I will be “ascared”..very ascared. If Obama loses I won’t know what to do. I can’t move to another country, because after the last eight years, I can’t afford to go anywhere. Does anyone know of an inexpensive lesbian community say, in Costa Rica? But wait, maybe I won’t need to… maybe the guy in the white hat will win. I don’t think I can watch. I’ll go to bed early and wait until morning for the news.

Let’s fight back on Proposition 8. Let’s boycott California wines, produce and travel. Let’s publicize it. Let’s embarrass them. It worked a few years ago in Colorado. What do say?
