75% for public education
20% for the arts (grants to individual artists, any medium, to be chosen by an expert panel of artists, not the Republicans in Congress or the Republicans at the NEA)
3% for electro-acoustic composers (my partner of seven years, who is an electro-acoustic composer, made me put this in)
2% to fill the pothole in the BQE outside my window
That adds up to 100%, right?

I wish the IRS would ask that question. I think I would have to have my taxes split among education reform; universal health care; LGBT rights and advocacy and elminating green house gases and lessening our dependance on oil.

I wish the IRS would ask that question. I think I would have to have my taxes split among education (including the elimination of “No Child Left Behind”); the arts; universal health care; LGBT rights and advocacy and elminating green house gases and lessening our dependance on oil.
(I hope this only posted once, I realized mid-post that I left something out)

I would like to see every penny of my tax dollars earmarked to keep John McCain out of office. Once we are successful, then I would like my taxes to education in the City of Detroit. Only 25% of the students graduated last year.

Are the opinions of sisters in the UK of interest/relevant to the site?
My knowledge of American politics is probably limited to UK news reports and reading a few interesting books but I’m facinated by the current political issues and would love to debate.

I would fix global warming with the half of the entire federal budget that now goes to the military. I would put scrubbers on each and every coal fired power plant in the world which is what the experts say we need to do to fix the problem, everthing else I would do is just for fun and because I dont life GE. I would put solar panels and windmills and everyones home in the world, I would give everyone in the world ten thousand dollars to be neutered, though India finds just giving men a rifle is enough to bribe them. I would make adoption free and pay people to do it. I would end all violence in the world against women through education and make America the most educated people in the world. Free college, masters and doctors degrees all free. 1 teacher to 4 students just like the ultra rich give their kids. Free health care for all.
