Being blunt, cute when one is a child. As an adult you are considered a smart ass- which is ok with me in certain settings.

I miss being oblivious!

I miss not knowing what I know now. That life is very short and will be over in the blink of an eye. Savor every minute of your youth.

Extended family. Feeling part of a broader community. Being somewhat shielded and protected from the inevitable pain that is part of living. Being sung to when I was scared. Really sweet question

Staying up late during summer vacation to wait for my dad to come home from work. And then sleeping late the next day.

I miss being able to run around without a shirt on! Unfortunately when I do it now I can be arrested plus it isn’t very safe, someone could get one of their eyes poked out!

Feeling safe. The smell of freshly mowed lawns. In the long hot days of summer staying out late, after dark, playing with all the kids in the neighborhood. Calling ollie ollie oxenfree, at the end of a round of hide and seek. This call meant that anyone who had not yet been found could come out. Climbing trees… using them as great hiding places for hide and seek. I was visible to all the world, but no one…no one, thought to look up.
