Hi Kate
If I could teach everything I know to everyone in the world, they certainly would know what NOT to do next!
By the way, I can help you with your emails. I don’t do housework.

When we were stationed in the bottom of the Grand Canyon (I was in VISTA) my then 5 year old daughter and I watched the sun come up over the walls every morning. One morning she said “mama, tell me everything you know.” So, I started talking. After 2 hours, she said “okay, that’s enough.” I don’t remember what I said, but I know that she turned out to be an amazing woman, full of creativity, passion, empathy and compassion. She is the best Mom I’ve ever seen or known, so much better than I ever was or could be. I’d like to believe I told her that love is the only thing that matters, that people need to be treated with kindness, that truth will set us free, and that we are all always doing the best we can at any given moment. But I probably told her there are two cups to a pint, two pints to a quart, how to make a bed while you’re still in it, and never to go anywhere without money to get back home.

We’d all use commas with confidence and pinpoint acuity. It would be a thing of beauty to behold.
