Different ages demand different answers. Really young, it was the Mickey Mouse Club and Bozo’s Circus and Garfield Goose. A little older it was Leave it to Beaver and My Three Sons. After those probably the Mod Squad and Laugh-In. As a teen I liked Eight is Enough and the Waltons.

Hands down, Cagney and Lacey. Women in lead roles, Thank You for the experience. A little later, Designing Women had awesome speeches by ‘Julia’ and was just hilarious and fun.

When I was a kid, I learned my English by watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after I moved to the US. So imagine this little German girl running around saying gnarly, cool, and kowabunga. I loved the turtles and the X-Men animated series as well. But any action packed cartoon was great and I am still a fan today.

Speed Racer and Batman (with Adam West) were my ultimate favorites as a kid. When I got a bit older, Family was “my” show. Loved Kristy back then and still do!

Carol Burnett was absolutely the best. I mean who doesn’t like to laugh? I knew even then she was a force for women in comedy. I know there were great women comedians before her, Lucille Ball and Gracie Allen, but Carol was during my time as a kid.
