Favorite journalist? Well, on the roll of Gone On Ahead,
I’d have to choose Molly Ivins. (Author of, among other collections, MOLLY IVINS CAN’T SAY THAT, CAN SHE? Great book!) Sassy, outspoken, funny feminist Texan. Ann Richards with a typewriter. Okay, okay, finally with a PC.
Greatest journalist of the last 75 years: Bill Moyers.
I’d trust him, his judgment, his honesty, and his fair play above anyone I can think of. Wish he had run for president!

I have several Amanpour, Colvin, Paul Wood who tells a fantastic joke or two… Mostly though it is my friend Jonte Wentzel he is a Swedish photojournalist who takes these most amazing pictures especially childern. We met in Kabul and he is one of my great soul mates. He brought me Snus from the Swedish bases and I cooked dinner. We are getting to meet up in Cambodia soon where I am now living.

I hadn’t ever really thought about it. Amanpour leaps to mind. O’Donnell because he don’t take no crap! I used to like Dobson until he went off the deep-end.

All of my favorite journalists are dead: Edward R. Murrow, Linda Ellerbee, Molly Ivins…

Linda Ellerbee is so NOT dead. She’s my fave. From watching her on the NBC overnight news show with Lloyd Dobbins. “And So It Goes” was her sign off.
