Do you think that failures are the results of expectations being too high, too low, or something else entirely?

Failure is the price one pays to learn more profound truths.

I think failure can be linked back to fear – fear of failing, fear of succeeding, fear of taking the risk needed for success.

Learning experiences. Fail early, fail often.

I think failure results from not having enough strength. The key is to try again and KNOW one has the strength that it takes.

If you don’t try you won’t fail. Ergo, failure means you’re alive and putting one foot in front of the other.

Failure is a natural part of the learning process for the average person. However, if you’re a Republican, you can build an entire political platform on it and call it “progress”.

Failure is just part of the process toward success. Almost NO ONE succeeds the first time around at anything. If they do, good for them! But for most, failure is just a hurdle. Try again. And even when we succeed, we can usually look back on the process and recognize that we had to work to get to that point, which means there were probably a few failures along the way. Failures are challenges propelling us toward success.

Failure is an attitude. Break down big goals into more manageable goals, anything is possible. more manageable goals equals more successes and less thoughts of can’t – more realization of “I did!”

Failure is a result of being afraid of success.

Some say that there is no such thing as failure when not attached to the outcome. There is no failure when we do something for the sake of doing it rather than for an expected result. For everything we “failed” to accomplish there is the success of attempting it. The only true failure is doing nothing at all. … Somethin like that!

To fail implies you have not met an expectation, whether that parameter is too high or low is beside the point. Both words, failure and expectation, are loaded….with expectations! I love Maggie B’s observation and mandate: Fail early and often. Without expectations we cannot measure our success or failure. Without failure we cannot expect to grow.
