Mmmmmm…roasted corn. wrapped up with lots of butter, salt and pepper…let it roast on the bbq until it gets all hot, melted and steamy with just some of the kernels turning a carmelized brown…and toothpicks, lots of toothpicks. However, the excavation must be done in a very lady like way, followed with a mouth swish of Corona Light.

Here in Texas, no BBQ is complete without pinto beans and potato salad……..howevahhhhhhhh……grilled asparagus is delicious, slightly more healthly, and makes us appear a bit more cultured! Git your hind end down here, Kate! We’d truly enjoy you and Vickie Shaw in a laughter throw-down!

Baked beans is #1, closely followed by macaroni salad. Yum!

I will tell you what my favorite BBQ side is not: hummus. But good luck having a lesbian BBQ without someone bringing a vat or two. I once saw someone put hummus on a burger, like it’s a special dyke mustard or something.
Dyke Mustard is probably already a name of a punk band in a small town in Northern England.

I love slaw, too, but it’s gotta be right. Too much mayo and forget it! But every good BBQ also has Corn on the Cob! Just don’t overcook it, whatever you do! (Too picky? Do I sound too picky? Gosh I hope not….)

#1…Baked Beans on the grill: garlic, onion and bacon inside
#2…Roasted Corn on the Cob: salt, pepper, paprika, butter
#3…Grilled Peaches: have to have dessert- grilled and add to vanilla bean ice cream

I love sweet slaw my Mom made. It was her Mother’s recipe. I also like lots of wet ones, napkins and watermelon.
