Probably the same old tattered sundress, scuffed cowboy girl boots, straw hat (that frankly has become a little seedy), a sweatshirt that screams LESBIAN for the members of the family I can still offend…a girl has to plan her amusements for these gatherings…my Grandfather’s moth-eaten cardigan, as a badge of honor and love, and of course, white gloves.

I was thinking about my leather pants, the ones with the zipper broken in front. Pretty practical, at least I won’t have to unbutton them to put my hands down them in front after dinner, when I go to the couch to groan with the others. My plaid shirt with the buttons missing will match, then their is white tennis shoes with white ankle socks. Of course, no bra, what are you thinking anyway!! In the mean time I am getting ready here, putting blinds on the windows and changing the locks on the doors..yep it will be mighty fine….

Definitely something that stretches! LOL! Stretch bra, stretch undies, stretch socks, stretch pants. You get the idea. Then I will stretch out for a nap.

Well, since you asked, I am pretty partial to that lovely Tux w/ magical bodice overlay, ahem. Might be better for a HRC benefit ball, but it works for me… or you coul just consider it if ou can’t find anything else in the closet (or Out) you like better. ;0) Best, S.

Dear Kate,
Since I will be spending the holidays in Kabul, Afghanistan. I have decided to make a turkey head dress out of my helmet and a school pagent style breast plate out of my flack jacket. Nothing else fancy maybe a clean shirt. It may illict a few stares from the U.S. Embassy Shooters but who knows the Taliban may decide to join us and I will be prepared with a 20lb Turkey and some 40lb body armor.
