I’ve been thinking about the recent bullying news coverage, the suicides that resulted, and especially about the murder of Matthew Shepard. At first I tried a twist on WWJD, Who Would Jesus Bully, but I didn’t think that was strong enough. I’ve come up with “What would YOU do to JESUS, if you thought HE was gay?” (33-year-old man who wasn’t married, preached love and peace, and was betrayed by being kissed by a man.) That makes the passive “don’t ask, don’t tell” approach similar to Pontius Pilate washing his hands, and the homophobic reaction that of the “Crucify him!” crowd.
At least think about it…
