I always root for the 49ers, be they good or bad. This year is looking up. Given my proximity to Denver, I also root for the Broncos — a little more difficult this year, with the addition of two known homophobes in Brady Quinn and Tim Tebow.

Hometown team: Patriots! Forever!
Political favorites: Two NFL players have gone on record in favor of marriage equality, and I root for their teams: Scott Fujita of the Cleveland Browns, and Brendon Ayanbadejo of the Baltimore Ravens.

… the Bills & “why”? Grew up on ’em and went (like I “went”) to 4 straight losing superbowls more than a decade ago – and since, they can’t win a coin toss. Truthfully, I so loved football for sooo long and now find it borderline barbaric … getting old???

I’ll watch the UW Madison Badgers (I work at the UW) and the Green Bay Packers (I like cheese), and I’ll also watch the Vikings to see Brett Favre play.

In a quandary this season. I’m a die-hard Steelers fan from Pittsburgh, but am thoroughly disappointed in the Steelers organization and the NFL for not responding more harshly in penalizing our sexually abusing quarterback. Without Roethlisberger, Steelers all the way! With Roethlisberger, who cares? Snarl.

I have been ready for what seems forever and last night’s game was but a taste. The team I root for since I was a pea pod is Pittsburgh but anyone that faces the Vikings this year is my fav. Yes I don’t like their quarterback, use to but no longer.
Kate, do you play fantasy football? If so, who is on your team this year…..if not, good luck to your pick…..
Have a great weekend

No one. The Raiders mess up the A’s field (the grounds crew works all night trying to fix it so the outfielders won’t trip on those nasty holes they make; and then there’s all that green paint they use to paint over the while lines). They all take up too much TV time while we could be getting more WOMEN’S BASKETBALL! A little college ball is OK, but it’s really all too much hitting and smashing for me.

Football?? No thankyou. No bulky men cavorting around on the ground for me, I’d much rather see them dance.

i know the teams, & i know the rules (for the most part) … however, i am a girl & i generally root for teams based on what “color mood” i’m in that day.

Oh yea, I’m a Colts fan. Since my best football buddy pasted away five years ago at 42. I’m also a Vikings fan. Her nick name was Viking girl.So now I have all this Viking memorabilla. I do enjoy it though, it’s like having her right there with me.

Ok, I figure this is a good opportunity to learn something. I keep asking what is it with dykes and football? The only joy I get out of it is watching the male species beat up on each other. What am I not getting here?

I will be rooting for the Patriots — if — Tom, pretty boy Brady, cuts his hair. The only football game I really want to attend this year is yours, Kate, in Ptown during Women’s Week.

Patriots! Unless of course, they get sloppy and start losing. Then it’s the Giants! But, if they’re not winning, it’ll be the Vikings! I feel no shame in jumping on band wagons.

The Green Bay Packers! I have been a fan of since age 7 as I learned to drink beer and play poker on a green and gold bus going to Packer games. Who says parents aren’t a good influence?

My team is the New York Giants, since 1958, and right now, Giant fans are not happy campers. Also, ladies, I am proud to say that I am a handicapper and I give my picks away FREE every week. I don’t claim to hit 90% of my picks and you can always go back in the site to verify my stats. Please take a look, my site is http://www.nflfxliz.com
And a question for all you football fans ..
Don’t you all wish that baseball season would end when football season starts 🙂
