High Art or Bound. High Art was well acted and had a great story line although hard to watch. Bound was light even if it did involve the MOB. I enjoyed both.

I would have to vote for “An Unexpected Love”. A great movie!!!! Wendy Crewson and Leslie Hope were both so hot in that movie.

This is an oldie but a goodie. It was the first lesbian movie I ever saw with a happy ending and it was soooo HOT!! The movie was Desert Hearts.

It has got to be “Fire”. The characters had so much passion and strengh.

That would HAVE to be Claire Of The Moon! Most folks I know say it drives them crazy all the back and forth between the characters. I say that’s life – sometimes it’s messy and out of synch until you both surrender. My second choice is Personal Best because I lived it in High School.

Desert Hearts by far is the best movie. It has withstood the passage of time and only gotten better when compared to the movies made today. There was not a mandatory love conflict regarding a male or love scene with a male. It was two women finding themselves and each other with a wonderful and extraordinary love scene given the timeframe in which it was made. It is a magnificent work of art that reveals the conflict of accepting who we are for what we are.

I agree that DESERT HEARTS is one of the best, if not the best lesbian movie ever made. It’s beautifully done in all aspects. I treasure it and watch it at least 2x a year.

Best and all-time favorite, “Desert Hearts”. Not as edgy as the book but Donna Deutch translated the story to the big screen well. Second on my list is an obscure Canadian movie with Patty Duke, “By Design”. Third would be “Everything’s Relative”.
