“Hi, younger self. You know that lesbian comic you just saw? You know… the show in the basement of that YWCA, upstate NY, 1981? Yeah, her. Get her autograph, kiddo. She’s going places.”

So, I’m posting that life is good at 45 and you’re telling me it gets better at 60? That’s wonderful! 🙂 Now, I can’t wait for my 60s!

I’d tell my younger self that she is pretty, skinny and a good person. All she has to do is to hang in there, because life is going to get better. I wish I knew when I was 17 and depressed about coming out of the closet just how good everything would be once I turned 45. (Things were good at 28, but life rocks at 45!)

There’s going to be a funny sounding website that goes public in 2004 … never mind ‘what is a website’ … just save $85,000 in the bank until the initial offering and buy 1000 shares! You won’t have to worry about retirement!

This is so hard to write one thing. Okay. “You don’t have to live up to anyone’s expectations of what you should be, but remember, they don’t have to live up to your expectations of what they should be either”. Oh and that girl in college, NO. The Hot older woman, NO. The woman with the 2 kids you will raise, NO. The one when your 30, yes, but do it right for 9 years. And to my younger woman as my 49th b-day comes up. Good luck and enjoy being a dumb ass.
