Other than moving far away from each other and only seeing each other at funerals? I’d have to say chocolate cake served in a bowl swimming in cold milk.

When we were little kids, my Dad use to follow fire trucks when they were going code 3 with lights and sirens. He did stay back a few hundred feet, but still I use to wonder is really doing this for us or because it is more fun for him.

My best memory was our Sunday evening dinner (well, it was at around 5PM) The well done roast beast, gravy, browned potatoes, veggie & “parker house” rolls. The party began when all 7 of us began to stab at the food on the table, trying not to fork each others hand, unfortunately I was not fast enough, i still have fork scars. This food run was fun for all & a memory that “sticks” in my mind. Love to all and I can’t wait for my 2 week vacation in P-Tn!

I called it, 60 second clean-up. A family tradition. Here is how it worked. I get a call from a very good childless friend in her 40’s for an impromptu drop in. The kids and I have been doing art on the kitchen
table all morning (housework is only for late night insomnia attacks) and eating Duncan doughnuts. So, I yell, 60 second clean up. And by the time Pat comes in the door. All recent activity and mess has disappeared. Except for my honest two year old. When Pat exclaims, Wow, the house is all neat and picked up. My two
year old lifts up the corner of the couch skirt to show her a doughnut. Now that was family tradition around my house.
