Remember to water them! If your garden faces south it will dry out fast in the hot summer sun. A ‘salad’ garden is easy to manage and grow even on an apartment balcony. You can have a variety of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, radishes etc. Wait a minute… is that the type of garden you’re talking about? All of a sudden the book ‘My Secret Garden’ popped into my mind…

Ahhh…gardening. It gives us all faith in tomorrow.
I always wear a nice glove with a rubber palm. That way I won’t drop the wine glass while weeding. Serenity. Happy Spring everyone!

Hello Kate! I’m pretty much a novice to the gardening world, but one thing I’ve learned – compost, compost, compost! It saves a person so much money in the long run, and yields fuller and more beautiful blooms and tastier veggies. Also, a great resource for easy gardening tips is the e-book Gardening Made Easy. It’s got a wealth of information on diverse gardening topics, and it was created with the layman in mind. Woo-hoo! Spring is here!

My garden grows all by itself. I don’t know what is IN the garden, but it seems to be getting along without me.

For the pet lovers in the audience…Don’t use pesticides, try using white vinegar in a pump sprayer. It kills the weeds ( it truly does ! )and is friendly to our little guys and the environment.
